A LOVABLE dog needs a good home for the New Year.
Bobby, a two-year-old Staffordshire bull terrier, is being looked after at the National Canine Defence League, in Darlington.
Staff at the kennels are hoping they can find him an owner who is active, as Bobby needs at least one to two hours' exercise each day.
The pup does not mix well with other dogs, but he is good with older children and adults.
NCDL Darlington manager Catherine Gillie said: "Bobby is a very friendly young dog and very alert.
"He does get excited meeting new people and sometimes gets carried away.
"He is learning not to do this and his trainer says he is getting much better."
Bobby needs an experienced dog owner who will continue with his training.
