A RADIO presenter has been fined and threatened with the sack after posing for a photo-shoot for a men's magazine.
Norwegian-born Ingrid Hagemann, the afternoon show presenter on Radio Aire, has been disciplined after she was pictured naked in a bubble bath for the current issue of FHM magazine.
Her boss threatened the 28-year-old, who lives in Newcastle, with dismissal and handed her a heavy fine because the former model took time off, claiming she was ill, to go to London for the magazine photo-shoot.
After a 30-minute meeting with boss Mike Bawden, Radio Aire's programme director, in Leeds, at the weekend, Ms Hagemann said: "I should never have posed for the pictures without telling my boss. I took time off from my show saying that I was ill. It meant another presenter had to stand in for me.
"I was threatened with the sack. It was only after I apologised that he relented. I have been given a written warning about my behaviour and a heavy fine.
"I accept the punishment. I certainly won't be doing anything like that again."
Ms Hagemann, who left Newcastle's Metro Radio ten months ago, still lives on Tyneside and hosts regular discos in the area.
In 1999, she courted controversy when a 100ft image of her wearing a low-cut top and angel's wings was projected on to Durham Cathedral to advertise her programme.
Mr Bawden said: "I told her in no uncertain terms that she had a responsibility to Radio Aire and her audience first.
"I have accepted her apology. She has been fined a substantial, four-figure sum and she has received a written warning about her actions. The matter is now closed.
