STUDENTS at Prior Pursglove College in Guisborough are starting the New Year with a fantastic performance of the 1940s Broadway musical Guys and Dolls.
The smash hit musical, based on the short stories of Damon Runyon, is set in the seedy underworld of New York.
Characters such as Harry the Horse, Big Julie and Nathan Detroit rub shoulders with the girls from the Hot Box Club, dancers in Havana and the members of the Salvation Army, led by Sister Sarah.
The musical is a tale of love and disappointment, gambling and the psychology of perpetual cold.
Performances take place at the college from Wednesday until Saturday next week at 7.30pm.
Tickets are available from the college, priced from £4 to £6, on (01287) 280800.
