SINGING sensation Zoe Birkett is set to wow audiences at Wembley Arena when she duets with Pop Idol favourite Gareth Gates at a special concert.
The ten finalists from the ITV show will star in London on March 14 and 15 in an event called An Evening with the Pop Idols.
It will be the first time all ten finalists, including Newcastle train driver Aaron Bayley, have been together since the competition started.
The highlight will be a duet between Darlington teenager Zoe and Gareth, who is the bookies' favourite to win the competition.
The 17-year-old from Bradford and university graduate Will Young have been left to battle it out after Darius finally saw his hopes of winning dashed after Saturday night's show.
Speaking to The Northern Echo on Sunday Zoe said: "When the competition started I never imagined I would be singing at Wembley."
Since she left, rumours have been circulating that Zoe and Gareth have become more than friends - but she laughed off any suggestions of romance.
"I know singing a duet with Gareth will start all the rumours again but it will be just nice to sing with a friend. We will be performing with a big band which will be great as well."
Zoe is hoping her friends from Darlington will be able to make it to the capital to see her perform in her first big concert.
She added: "I have a lot of meetings in London over the next few weeks to talk about the future. I haven't had chance to talk about the show yet but it will be fantastic though. I can't wait."
Tickets for the show which cost £22.50 and £25, can be bought by calling 0870 1633401.
