OUTDOOR training centre Peat Rigg has gone online thanks to help from the North-East Chamber of Commerce.
The Pickering training company has launched a website www.peatrigg.co.uk developed in conjunction with Internet company MBD.
The site includes information about the centre, the training it provides, and case studies on the companies and individuals who have used the facilities.
It also includes an online booking service.
Kevin Wall, Peat Rigg manager, said: "The new Internet site will help people get a better idea of what is on offer and what they can expect from the centre."
Set in 90 acres of land in the village of Cropton, near Pickering, Peat Rigg is run by a training consortium involving the North East Chamber, NETA and Redcar and Cleveland College, and is supported by funding from the European Social Fund. It offers residential training courses in outdoor pursuits for young people and adults to help them develop work-based skills they can use to succeed at work.
Activities include canoeing on the River Esk and walking on the North York Moors, as well as confidence building exercises such as tree climbing and abseiling.
Mr Wall said: "Through our training programme we help people to develop important life skills.
"Residents have the opportunity to work towards practical qualifications with the Teesside Regional Open College Network, developing skills to help them in the future."
