A North Yorkshire Moors farming couple have celebrated their diamond wedding.
Alf Brown, 87 and his 91- year-old wife, Martha, farmed at the beauty spot of Farndale for 40 years. Mr Brown was Master of the Farndale Hunt for a decade and its secretary for 35 years.
The couple, who now live at the Alba Rose residential home, Pickering, are long- serving congregation members of St Mary's Church, Farndale, where they both served on the church council. Mr Brown was churchwarden for more than 20 years.
They had a family celebration at the weekend with their three daughters, six grandchildren, great-grandchild and friends.
