SINGING sensation Zoe Birkett is to wow audiences at Wembley Arena when she duets with Pop Idol favourite Gareth Gates at a special concert.
The ten finalists from the ITV show will star in London on March 14, 15 and 16 in an event called An Evening with the Pop Idols.
It will be the first time all ten finalists, including Newcastle train driver Aaron Bayley, have been together since the competition started.
The highlight will be a duet between Darlington teenager Zoe and Gareth, who is the bookies' favourite to win the competition.
The 17-year-old from Bradford and university graduate Will Young have been left to battle it out after Darius Danesh finally saw his hopes of winning dashed after Saturday night's show.
Zoe told The Northern Echo yesterday: "When the competition started I never imagined I would be singing at Wembley."
Since she left, rumours have been circulating that Zoe and Gareth have become more than friends but she laughed off any suggestions of romance.
"I know singing a duet with Gareth will start all the rumours again but it will be just nice to sing with a friend."
Zoe is hoping her friends from Darlington will be able to make it to the capital to see her perform in her first big concert.
She added: "It will be fantastic I can't wait."
Tickets, priced £22.50 and £25, go on sale today from the Wembley credit card hotline on 0870 7333396.
