A LATVIAN flautist and a Czech pianist will stop off in Durham during a recital tour.
Ilze Urbane, who studied with James Galway in Switzerland, and pianist Adam Skoumal will perform the first recital of this year's season in St Cuthbert's Church, North Road, Dur-ham, on Wednesday, at 1pm.
The couple met while studying in New York, where they formed the musical partnership, Duo Amadeus.
Their latest programme includes music by Bach, Mozart, Faure and Bizet.
Following the Durham concert, Mr Skoumal will give a solo piano recital of works by Mozart, Chopin and Schumann, and the pair will then perform in Redcar and North Shields.
