HARTLEPOOL United manager Chris Turner has urged his confident players to turn on the style at Hull City tonight.
The Pool boss, whose side's trip to Carlisle on Saturday was postponed, is calling for his players to show no respite against the high-flying Tigers.
Big-spending Hull, after their 1-0 win at Halifax over the weekend, sit fourth in the Third Division and will prove a stern test for Pool.
But Turner will adopt the same style of play which has seen the Victoria Park club win each of their last two matches.
"We cannot go there and be afraid of them," said Turner. "Why would we?
"We will be going there and we will be playing our own football. If we do that, as we know we can, we can come away with something.
"It was disappointing not to play Carlisle, but it was postponed and there's nothing you can d.
"Now we are just looking to get back into action and we will be going to Hull to attack.
"I've had them watched a few times this season. I've watched them once, and a lot of teams just sit back and defend when they play them we will not be doing that."
Pool were hammered 3-0 in their last outing at Mansfield, and Turner knows his side's away form needs improving if they are to mount a serious challenge on the play-off spots.
They have only scored eight goals on their travels, in comparison to 33 on their own turf, and they have lost seven out of 12 .
Turner is hopeful more points will be totted up away from the North-East coast between now and the end of the campaign.
"We need to pick up points away - that's plain to see," said Turner, who will play Ritchie Humphreys in midfield, with Tommy Widdrington and Darrell Clarke ruled out tonight.
"We have not won enough of our games. I wouldn't say we have played badly, apart from the Mansfield game, but we have still not came away with anything.
"We have always been in the games and that's why I'm optimistic about taking points from away matches."
Hull, managed by former Darlington boss Brian Little, will still be smarting from their 4-0 mauling at Pool in November.
Little has had to make changes to his forward line with Rodney Rowe ruled out for two weeks with a fractured jaw sustained against Halifax.
Record-buy Lawrie Dudfield, who was surprisingly left out of City's clash with the Shaymen, is likely to come in and join 20-goal Gary Alexander up front. Loan signing Neil Roberts will be on the bench.
* Coventry boss Roland Nilsson is considering making an official complaint to FIFA after Moroccan duo Youssef Chippo and Youssef Safri failed to return from international duty in time for Saturday's match with Gillingham.
The midfield pair had been on duty with their country in the African Nations Cup and Nilsson hoped to have them available for selection after Morocco were knocked out.
The midfielders were due to arrive back in Britain on Friday but were unable to fly out of Mali until Sunday.
Press officer and former City player Steve Froggatt said: ''The club are considering putting in a complaint."
