BIG Brother hopeful Leesa Waddington ran through city streets in just her bikini in an attempt to get on the hit TV show.
While everyone else was wrapped up in their winter woolies, the 19-year-old skipped along in her costume.
Shoppers in storm-hit York were bemused at the sight of the accounts manager in her pink and white swimwear and fluorescent hair.
Inspired by the antics of former contestants, Ms Waddington braved the freezing wind and rain in a bid to book her place on series three of the Channel Four programme.
Stopping only to ask stunned onlookers the way to the beach, Ms Waddington got a friend to record the stunt on camera, a copy of which is winging its way to the judges in time for Friday's application deadline.
Ms Waddington, of Haxby, near York, said: "I have applied to Big Brother every year, but I just sat in front of the camera before and said a few things about myself.
"This time, I thought I must do something to get noticed and this was it. I certainly turned a few heads, but it was absolutely freezing.
"Everyone says I am crazy, but I am not bothered. I do not care what people think of me.
"I love Big Brother and I will do anything to get on the show. I just want to be famous."
