FIREFIGHTERS in Cleveland have shared £1,200 with members of the community in Guisborough.
The crew, from the town's fire station, raised the cash with two charity bingo sessions, held at Guisborough Quoits Club, and open days at the station.
The money has been shared between four beneficiaries.
Asthma sufferer Leanne Watson, of Bennison Street, received £295 for a nebuliser to help her breathing. John Hassan, from Mackie Drive, received £300 sponsorship towards a fundraising climb for the British Heart Foundation and Cleveland Search and Rescue was awarded £300 towards their general funds.
The remainder of the cash - about £300 - was donated to the Fire Services National Benevolent Fund.
Station Commander Dick Flanary said: "We have been fundraising for 25 years and the support we get from the local community is staggering.
"We now hold an annual bingo session with help from the quoits club, and share the funds raised with good causes in the local community.
"This year we are delighted to be able to help several local people as well as the firefighters' benevolent fund and would like to thank everyone who helped raise this magnificent sum."
