A FAMILY-run fragranced giftware business is moving production to east Cleveland.
Razzamatazz International is planning to move some of its production from its Lincolnshire headquarters to premises on the North Liverton Industrial Estate, creating up to 20 jobs.
Tony Barnes, managing director of Razzmatazz, first saw the new premises while on a visit to buy machinery last year.
With expansion in mind, he decided then that it would be the perfect location to develop Razzmatazz.
With the help of Business Link in the Tees Valley, the company set about securing premises.
The new premises will be fully operational by April.
Mr Barnes set up Razzamatazz in 1976 as a solo venture, manufacturing pot pourri. By 1997, it was operating in Winterton, North Lincoln-shire, employing ten people.
Its client list now includes Kleeneze, Scotts of Stow, TV shopping channels and high street stores.
Mr Barnes said: "Around six members of the Razzmatazz team will make the move to Liverton, but the company is already liaising with employment services with regard to recruiting additional staff.
"In 12 months time, it is hoped that we will employ 20 people including secretarial staff, sewing machinists, packers and production staff."
Ken Harrison, business advisor at Business Link in the Tees Valley, has helped the firm to secure Department of Trade and Industry funding.
He said: "The impact that Razzmatazz will have in terms of job creation for people in and around Liverton will, I hope, benefit many."
