PLANS for a two-storey extension to a house in Roast Calf Lane, Bishop Middleham, are likely to be rejected by Sedgefield Borough Council's development control committee tomorrow.
A report by council planning officers says the extensions would dominate the original property and affect its character.
"If a number of similar proposals came forward, they would inevitably change the character of the area further," the report adds.
There are no other examples of large extensions at Roast Calf Lane and the report says this would set a precedent for other large proposals.
Councillors are being recommended to refuse the application.
