MUSEUM-goers are being offered a glimpse of the real Jurassic Park and the chance to step back to the time when dinosaurs ruled the Earth.
Life as it was millions of years ago is featured at the Yorkshire Museum in York, with the return of the popular Jurassic exhibition.
All those millennia ago, the area was covered by warm seas, extending as far as the Pennines.
And recent excavations have uncovered fossilised remains of sea dinosaurs and other creatures.
An icthyosaur found on the Yorkshire coast by a local fossil collector in August 2000 will be on display for the first time in the exhibition.
Also on show are dinosaur tracks never seen in public before, and other specimens from the internationally-acclaimed collections at the museum.
Dr Phil Manning, keeper of geology at the museum, said: "It's great to have real fossils from our own region on display."
Jurassic opens tomorrow and runs until June 30. The museum is open daily between 10am and 5pm.
