TALENTED singers are still being asked to enter a competition to find the region's Young Soprano.
Music for Darlington, a charity organisation, is looking for a male or female Young Soprano of the Year with the help of The Northern Echo.
Entries for this year's competition are being sought from across the North-East and North Yorkshire, with the winner entertaining a packed house at the Dolphin Centre, in Darlington, for Proms night, and receiving a cash prize.
The music competition is open to people aged between 12 and 18, including past participants.
Competitors should send in a cassette tape recording of no more than three minutes, of a song of their choice.
The winner will perform at least two solo numbers at the charity Last Night of the Proms concert, on May 18.
The runner-up could also be given the chance to perform in front of a live audience with a youth concert before the main event.
Entries must be made by completing the official entry form and returning it, with a tape by Tuesday, February 26, to Mrs Bradshaw, St Teresa's Hospice, The Woodlands, Woodland Road, Darlington, DL3 7UA.
