VIKING storylines will be among the featured events at Kirkleatham Hall Museum, Redcar, during a week of activities for half term.
A Viking craft workshop, creating amulets during two-hour sessions from 10am until midday and 1pm until 3pm, will be held on Sunday. Booking is essential.
On Wednesday, Viking storyteller Sif arrives to tell tales of fierce beasts and brave warriors. The event is ideal for family groups. Sessions take place at 11am, midday, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.
On Thursday and Friday, Bill the Bloodthirsty has room for 15 accompanied children per session on his hilarious adventure to Valhalla. Sessions at 10.30am, 12.45pm and 2.30pm must be booked.
Re-enactment group Anmod Dracan will be there during the weekend of February 16 and 17 demonstrating weaving, mail making, boneworking, pewter casting, shoe-making and combat.
A family Viking crafts workshop to make swordbreaker shields will be held on Sunday, February 17. The ongoing Vikings exhibition runs until March 17. To book places call (01642) 479500.
