A SENIOR detective has vowed there will be no let up in bringing drug dealers to justice.
Reinforcing Detective Superintendent Adrian Roberts's pledge, Cleveland Police revealed four people have been arrested and drugs seized as a result of nine drugs raids in seven days.
Four of those were arrested for drugs supply offences, while a fifth person - a 42-year-old man - was arrested for possession of cannabis after having been bailed, pending forensic tests.
Quantities of heroin, Ecstasy and cannabis were seized in the raids.
The number of arrests since the Dealer A Day operation began last December now stands at 79 and, says Detective Supt Roberts, has sustained its objective of taking drug enforcement action every day in Middlesbrough.
"We've had another successful week and with the public's support there will be many more to follow. So long as the information keeps coming - and there is no shortage of it - there will be no let up in our campaign against the dealers," he said.
Anyone with information about drug dealers can contact any police officer or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
