TWO students have won first prize in a competition combining art and business.
The competition, run by the Lingfield Point business park and Darlington College of Technology, focused on the theme of structures.
Forty five A-level students from the college's fine art and photography courses took their inspiration from buildings in the Lingfield Point complex, in McMullen Road, Darlington.
Entries were judged by Darlington Mayor Councillor Isobel Hartley, local artist Wendy Thompson and Darlington college lecturers Ian Burrell and Adelin Clarke.
The winners were Emily Hutchinson, 16, whose abstract work was based on the layout of Lingfield Point, and 19 year-old Nat Quinn, with a black and white composition.
Both students were presented with a cheque for £250. The winning artworks will hang in Lingfield House.
