IF pub puddings tickle your taste buds, then North Yorkshire is the place to be.
The Arden Arms, at South Cowton, near Northallerton, has won top prize in the Pub Food Awards' Dessert Pub of the Year, a competition to find the best in the UK.
Licensees Adrian and Gill Barrett took the honours at an awards ceremony, in London's Park Lane Hilton.
For Mr Barrett, who trained at London's Savoy Hotel, London, it added to the success of last year when he won Pub Restaurant of the Year title while landlord at the Hack and Spade, in Washton, near Richmond.
"Gill and I are both thrilled to bits," he said after the ceremony.
"To have what we do here recognised by our industry peers gives us a great sense of achievement and somehow justifies the amount of time and effort we all spend in developing a creative menu."
To celebrate, the couple are introducing a new dessert called Wait and See - a serving of the five most popular puddings from the winning menu.
"As customers just love to try a little bit of everything. I'm sure it will go down a storm," said Mr Barrett.
The sponsors for the award were Scholler Ice Cream and the judges included TV personality and food critic Lloyd Grossman.
