TWO men were facing jail yesterday for dealing in heroin from a pigeon cree after police kept watch on allotments.
Two officers told a court that they saw hands reaching across a hedge to exchange something, and they later found a dumped film cassette holding 41 £10 heroin wraps.
Paul Armstrong, 20, pleaded guilty at Teesside Crown Court to possession of heroin with intent to supply it at Enfield Road allotments, Eastlea, Seaham, County Durham, on June 15 last year.
Craig Cain, 22, who denied the charge, was convicted by the jury. Judge Michael Taylor told the jury: "He is going to go to prison for some time because offences of being involved in the supply of Class A drugs are very serious."
The men of Eastlea Crescent, Seaham, were remanded in custody for reports.
