TELEVISION viewers will be able to see a first for themselves on the BBC this weekend.
Identical twins Matthew and Simon Dawson hit the headlines last year when they were the first brothers to be appointed head and deputy-head chorister at York Minster.
Now, the 13-year-olds are in the spotlight again when a performance filmed in the cathedral last October is screened on Songs of Praise tomorrow.
The brothers, from Wigginton, have attended York Minster School since they were eight.
Proud grandparents Gerald and Doreen Swainston regularly make the trip to York from their home in Richmond, North Yorkshire, to watch the twins perform.
"This is their final year before they move on to secondary education elsewhere, but the whole family is very proud of what they have achieved," said Mr Swainston yesterday
