A CHARITY group is hoping to be able to provide a play park for a town's youngsters.
Saltburn Forward is applying for charity status and has been set up as a result of the Saltburn Improvement Company, which started when the east Cleveland town received regeneration cash from the Rural Challenge programme, some years ago.
Money for the company, which has set up Saltburn Artists Studios and a number of other schemes in the town, is coming to an end.
In the future, any money over and above maintenance costs for the studios, will go to Saltburn Forward, which will turn the cash into schemes for the benefit of the community.
The first scheme being proposed is for a play park at the site of an old play area on the top promenade at the foot of the town's Jewel streets. There could also be a fitness trail for all ages to link in with this.
Miranda Kelly, from the group, said the projects are in an embryonic state, but anyone who would like to get involved is asked to contact her on (01287) 624192.
