THE World Heritage site at Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal, near Ripon, is looking for volunteers to carry out tasks on the estate.
More than 250 volunteers work on the estate as guides, stewards or even dressing up as monks to welcome wedding guests.
The estate is now looking to recruit guides to lead tours of both the abbey and Studley Royal water garden from April to October.
There will be an open day on Tuesday, February 19, at 2pm in the visitor centre for anyone interested. Training for volunteer guides will start in March.
Volunteers commit a few hours a month and in return they are provided with support and training.
After giving 50 hours of volunteering they receive a volunteer card entitling them to discounts at all National Trust shops and free admission to all the trust's properties.
