TEENAGERS from Russia, Slovakia, Hungary, France and Germany showed off their culinary skills when they visited Bishop Auckland College.
The 36 students are visiting County Durham on an educational trip with Durham County Council.
As part of their visit, 22 of the 16-year-olds took to the kitchens at Bishop Auckland College to demonstrate different dishes from each country.
The dishes prepared by the students included traditional English cuisine cooked by college catering students.
The idea behind the visit was to show each other styles of cooking traditional to each country.
Richard Hinch, head of catering at the college, said: "They had 90 minutes to prepare the food. We try to give our catering students as much experience as possible.
"This gave them a chance to host an event which brings together students from five other countries. They prepared this as a live demonstration.
