A SERVICE written by Romanian church women will be held to mark the Women's World Day of Prayer, in Barnard Castle.
Romania is struggling with the aftermath of tyranny and revolution, and with poverty, say the organisers of the service, which will be held in the United Reformed Church, in Hall Street, on March 1, at 2pm.
It will be led by the Reverend Jane Grieve, who has worked in Romania.
Afterwards, there will be Romanian-style refreshments and a display of items lent by people who have visited that country.
Everyone is welcome, including men.
