TWO men, one brandishing what was believed to be a silver handgun, held up a North-East delicatessen.
When staff at Vera's, in Atkinson Road, Sunderland, refused to open the till, the pair fled empty handed.
The incident happened at 7.50pm on Sunday. The first suspect was 5ft 7in, and of stocky build. The second was 6ft, of thin build, and wearing a camouflage hat. He carried a holdall.
