TWO good Samaritans are being urged to come forward after they helped in the arrest of a man.
The incident happened at about 4.30pm on Friday, in the car park of the Morrisons supermarket, in Ormesby Road, Berwick Hills, Middlesbrough.
a man riding a bike came up behind a 56-year-old woman, rammed her trolley into her and kicked her before stealing her handbag.
The woman was taken to Middlesbrough General Hospital with a serious injury to her hip. She is still in hospital and will have to undergo a hip replacement operation.
Two men chased the attacker and restrained him for security staff. They then left the scene.
Police are anxious for them to come forward, as they may have vital information.
A 23-year-old man was arrested, but later released on police bail pending further inquiries.
