Organisers plan a full show
CLEVELAND Show will go ahead as planned this year, on July 27, in Stewart Park, Middlesbrough.
The committee intends to hold a full show, but classes for sheep, cattle and goats will depend on Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs regulations. All horse, pony, cat, dog, small animals, horticultural and children's sections will take place as in previous years. Schedules will be available later in the year.
ANTIQUES FAIR: An antiques and collectors' fair is being held at Rainbow Leisure Centre, Coulby Newham, Middlesbrough, next Sunday, from 10am to 4pm. Admission is 70p for adults, 60p for OAPs and accompanied children may visit free of charge. There is a large, free car park. Refreshments will be served.
STARTER'S ORDERS: Teesside Hospice, in Middlesbrough, is hoping to cash in on New Year resolutions to get fit by encouraging people to prepare for the Bupa Great North Run in October, which they can run to raise funds for the Middlesbrough hospice. For details ring (01642) 355866.
NEW IMAGE: The Middlesbrough marketing and PR firm, Image Group, has changed its logo in celebration of its 21st birthday and the winning of new accounts, which included the launch of the multi-million pound Middlehaven redevelopment at Middlesbrough.
CHARITABLE DATE: A book and record sale is being held to raise money for Teesside Hospice, together with stalls selling bric-a-brac, linen cakes and tombola. The event is being held at Linthorpe Community Centre, Middlesbrough, on Saturday, February 23.
CAMERAS PLAN: Hartlepool Borough Council has received a planning application to erect three new closed-circuit television cameras and columns at The Front, Seaton Carew, and Seaton Carew Park. An application to provide a camera at Elizabeth Way, Seaton Carew, has also been received.
RELATIVES SOUGHT: Police are appealing for relatives of Hazel Edith Kitchen, who died on Friday, in Seymour Residential Home, Hartlepool, to get in touch with them, on (01642) 243221. There are no suspicious circumstances.
