A CARDIAC support group's funds are falling short of meeting its financial needs despite growing success.
The Take Heart Support Group offers practical help and encouragement to recovering cardiac patients in the Cleveland area and, with income from members and charity donations, now has an annual income of approximately £25,000.
But, the group says, its outgoing expenses amount to more than £28,000 and the group has now decided to focus on its fundraising events, grants and other charities to help make up the shortfall in the cash.
One of the most successful parts of the group is the Bow Street Walkers, which offers walks of varying difficulty and lengths to help people increase their exercise levels and reduce the risk of further cardiac problems.
Anyone interested in taking part in the walks is asked to call (01642) 475167. For further information about the charity, ring (01642) 491655
