Darius Vassell celebrated his England debut with a goal as Sven Goran Eriksson's side earned themselves a well-earned draw against Holland on Wednesday night.
The Aston Villa striker, winning his first cap along with fellow debutants Wayne Bridge and Michael Ricketts, capped a fine performance when he met David Beckham's cross from the right with an acrobatic volley on the hour.
England had fallen behind when Patrick Kluivert latched on to a Ruud van Nistelrooy knock down to fire past Nigel Martyn, with the help of a deflection from Sol Campbell in the 26th minute.
But it was England who looked the more dangerous with David Beckham, Ricketts and second half substitute Kevin Phillips all coming close.
