FANS of Eric Clapton are invited to go along to a theatre for a tribute band performance.
Local band Classic Clapton, which was formerly know as After Midnight, and which recently celebrated its 16th birthday, is appearing at the Sunderland Empire on Friday, March 8.
The band have become well-known after recently being invited to play at Clapton's fan club convention, in London, and appearing at countless venues and in several magazines.
Last year, Tyne Tees television screened a programme about them called Cover Their Tracks, for which it filmed the band's concert at a Newcastle theatre in front of almost 600 fans.
The two-hour concert, starting at 8pm, will feature all of Clapton's popular hits, including Wonderful Tonight, Layla and I Shot the Sheriff, and will even include an unplugged section.
