SUPERMARKET staff at Richmond have taken to the charity trail, raising money for their local hospital.
Over the past year, the workers from the North Eastern and Cumbrian Co-op have raised £2,400 for the Friary Hospital, in Richmond.
The money is to be used to buy vital-signs monitoring equipment, to check the heart rates of patients.
Activities have included a sponsored walk around Reeth, a book sale, tombola, a sponsored bag-pack and a non-uniform day.
Now the cash has been presented to hospital staff, the fundraisers have started again, this time in aid of Childline.
