SOUTH West Durham Training has continued to live up to its reputation as a high quality deliverer of learning and development in the engineering sector.
The company has achieved Investors in People (IIP) status for the second time, following a review in December.
Bob Waller, training manage, said: "We continue to strive to develop a learning culture, both internally in the development of staff, and externally in the delivery of a wide range of learning programmes in the engineering and manufacturing sector."
Nigel Ellenor, IIP advisor for the Learning and Skills Council in County Durham, said: "South West Durham Training first achieved recognition in 1998. They have shown a clear understanding of the aims and objectives needed to continue to achieve the standard and have developed the skills to do it."
Albert Leaf, IIP assessor from Assessment North-East, presented the firm with the certificate. He said the key strength of the organisation had been its ability to manage change.
"South West Durham Training's commitment to people development has remained high, ensuring its people have the knowledge, skills and attitude to go forward at the same pace," he said.
