Bishop Auckland have signed full back Thomas Dunn for the second time.
Dunn left Bishops originally because of his work commitments and went to play for Peterlee, but now his circumstances have changed.
"He can play regularly for us now, so we're pleased to sign him on again," said manager Alan Shoulder.
Bishops are at home to lowly Hucknall tomorrow, as they try to end their barren run of over three months in the league without a win.
Shoulder has arranged a friendly with former club Newcastle United on Thursday next week (February 21) kick off 7.30pm.
Newcastle will include players with first team experience, and Shoulder is hoping manager Bobby Robson will be there. With Bishops expecting to move to a new ground next season, this could be the last big match at their historic Kingsway home.
A friendly with Manchester United five years ago attracted a 4,000 crowd, and Shoulder is hoping that will be exceeded. All present and former sponsors are invited to attend and they can reach Shoulder on (01388) 601253.
Shoulder and Newcastle reserve team coach Tommy Craig played together for three seasons at Carlisle United.
Bishops are currently negotiating with another club to agree a ground-sharing arrangement from the start of next season until their new stadium at Tindale Crescent is ready.
Spennymoor's home game with Stocksbridge was postponed on Tuesday night because of a waterlogged pitch, just days after Moors had won 2-1 in the reverse fixture Moors boss Tony Lee was particularly delighted with Jason Ainsley, who starred in Moors' midfield.
"Jason is playing very well at the moment," said Lee.
"He didn't put a foot wrong on Saturday, and was at the heart of some excellent moves."
Spennymoor's Chairman's Cup semi final against Worksop has been arranged for Saturday March 9, the same day as the other semi between Harrogate and Droylsden.
