A PROJECT to install computer links and video conferencing facilities to four police stations in South Tyneside has been given financial backing by Northumbria Police.
Police authority members have approved a grant of £12,116 to fund a scheme to link South Tyneside's main police station in South Shields with its three satellite police stations.
The new system will ensure that officers patrolling in South Tyneside get the same briefing, allowing them to share information effectively
