THE achievements of 100 youngsters from the region will be celebrated at the first Positive Young People's awards next month.
The young people have all been nominated for the awards, which mark achievements in the community by people under the age of 18.
The awards have been organised by the PS2K peer support team, Darlington Partnership and Darlington Borough Council's community education team, in conjunction with The Northern Echo.
A special celebration evening has been planned at Darlington Civic Theatre on March 25 when the nominees will receive certificates marking their achievements.
Members of the Stagecoach theatre arts school will be taking to the stage throughout the evening to provide a range of entertainment, including singing and dance performances.
A spokeswoman for the event said: "This will be a really great night and a way to show all the good things young people achieve in the community."
Tickets for the event, which are free, will be available soon.
