Middlesbrough booked their place in the last eight of the FA Cup with a 1-0 win over Blackburn on Saturday.
In a lacklustre game which attracted little over 20,000, Boro defender Ugo Ehiogu headed home the all-important winner in the 87th minute shortly after Blackburn had been reduced to ten-men when Australian Lucas Neill was dismissed after colliding with David Murphy.
Rovers boss Graeme Souness was clearly unhappy with referee Graham Barber's decision and had to be escorted off the field by police at the final whistle.
The Teessiders have yet to concede a goal in the competition and will be in the hat for tomorrow's quarter-final draw.
