A NEW community classroom is proving popular with students of all ages.
The classroom, at Darlington's Eastbourne Comprehensive School's learning centre, is being run in partnership with Darlington College of Technology. It offers learning and courses to people of all ages.
Computer and Internet facilities are available from Monday to Thursday, between 3pm and 7pm, and on Saturdays, from 9am to 11am.
Eastbourne pupils also benefit through a computer programme called Success Maker, which assesses a child's ability and then sets exercises to improve literacy and numeracy.
Centre manager Lorna Pollard said: "Many people have chosen to take basic computing courses as those skills are now so important in everyday life, and we are currently seeking to develop new courses to satisfy demand."
