A store is hoping to turn unwanted jewellery into cash in aid of a national charity.
Peterlee's new Asda superstore, in east Durham, is appealing for customers to take in any items of jewellery they do not want, in aid of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
Broken pieces and even costume jewellery will be accepted.
Pieces for the appeal can be left at the store's customer services desk.
