A MUSICAL concert is to be held at a North-East museum this month.
The Music at the Bowes concert will be held at the Bowes Museum, Barnard Castle, in County Durham, on February 24, and will feature choral music by Edinburgh's Cadenza mixed voice choir.
Music at the Bowes has been supported by Friends of the Bowes Museum, which aims to bring a variety of musical events to the museum.
Terry Willits, chairman of the music steering group, which has also helped to organise the event, said: "This truly will be a rare and wonderful opportunity to listen to such entertaining singers alongside very talented solo guitarists.
"We are proud to be able to bring this concert to Barnard Castle and look forward to enjoying the performances."
Future events at the museum include a piano recital by Martin Cousin.
The event, which will also feature Spanish guitarist Josep Henriquez, will be in aid of the Action Research charity. Tickets for the concert, which begins at 1pm, are available on (01833) 690606.
