DISAPPOINTED Stone Roses fans who thought they had missed a concert by the band's former frontman have been given another chance to get tickets.
A limited number of tickets for the Ian Brown concert at Middlesbrough Town Hall on Monday are up for grabs because of a mix-up.
A Middlesbrough Council spokeswoman said: "People still think the gig is sold-out, but in fact about 50 tickets have been sent back to us, for some reason. But, if people want them, they need to act fast."
The concert is Brown's first in the town as a solo artist - although he did play with the Stone Roses in the Crypt, beneath the town hall, more than a decade ago.
Fans will be relieved to hear that the event is taking place, after rumours that the entire 19-date tour had been cancelled.
Tickets, costing £15, are available from the box office at the Get IT centre, in Albert Road, or by contacting (01642) 242561.
Van Morrison's gig at the town hall on Friday, March 1 has sold out in less than two weeks.
l The Northern Echo has two tickets to give away to see Ian Brown at Middlesbrough.
