A FORMER barmaid has proved she has got a head for figures by gaining a bookkeeping award.
Elaine Mosey, 35, a student at Redcar and Cleveland College, has been awarded the International Association of Bookkeepers (IAB) top manual bookkeeping award for 2001.
Ms Mosey enrolled at the college to improve her career prospects and has now acquired a job as an accounts assistant at Bells Convenience Stores' head office, in Skelton, east Cleveland.
She said: "I worked really hard at my course but never thought it would result in an award. I am really pleased."
