A LEADING fashion designer will outline his plans for a North-East housing development in a lecture tomorrow.
The co-founder of fashion label Red or Dead, Wayne Hemingway, is working with his wife and business partner, Geraldine, to design the Wimpey development next to the River Tyne, at Gateshead.
Big Breakfast presenter Mr Hemingway will discuss the scheme with students from Newcastle University's School of Architecture, at the university's Herschel Building, at 6pm.
Free tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Critics of much of the UK's new housing, the Hemingways built their own critically-acclaimed home and are applying the same principles to Staiths South Bank.
While the development has yet to gain planning permission, work is due to start later this year
