THE latest stage in the development of a community newspaper in east Cleveland takes place this week.
The East Cleveland Advertiser - formerly The Clarion - is to be boosted by a 16-page guide for home-seekers.
The Advertiser, which covers Redcar, Guisborough, Saltburn, Markse, New Marske, Skelton, and Brotton, was launched by Redcar MP Vera Baird earlier this year.
The Clarion was bought by Newsquest North-East - publisher of The Northern Echo and Darlington & Stockton Times - in March 2000.
The Advertiser is recognised as one of the country's most successful series of free papers.
The estate agents who have supported the first property section this Friday are Halifax, Selwyn Hedgeley, Bradford and Bingley, Shepherd, Graeme Johnstone, Michael Poole, Roger Darnton, PGN Property Services, Skelton and Gilling, Copleys, Williams and Co, Reeds Rains, Lexington Payne, North-East Estate Agents, Cook and Forth, SR Fellows and Persimmon.
