Five men were arrested as Third Division rivals Darlington and Hartlepool played in the last derby clash at the Quakers' Feethams ground.
Two of the men, from Hartlepool, have been charged with football-related offences, while the other two, one from each of the towns, were charged with public order offences.
All four have been released by Darlington police on conditional bail to appear before magistrates in the town.
The fifth person arrested was released without charge.
