Darlington manager Tommy Taylor is still hoping to sign Iyseden Christie on loan from Leyton Orient.
The former Mansfield striker watched Darlington's draw with Hartlepool on Tuesday before taking part in training with the Quakers.
Taylor also confirmed he is looking to strengthen his defence, with Sunderland's Turkish central-defender Baki Mercimek playing for the reserves last night.
Taylor gave the 19-year-old a run-out after Quakers spotted him playing for the Black Cats' Under-19s, however, the manager says he's not looking to sign Mercimek in the immediate future.
Meanwhile, Ian Clark has admitted Tuesday night's goalscoring appearance against former club Hartlepool was very satisfactory, despite having to leave the pitch with a dead leg.
Pool central-defender Graham Lee was best man at Clark's wedding last summer, but he inflicted the injury on the eight-goal forward forcing him off the field to be replaced by Mark Sheeran with 30 minutes to play.
Clark, who has scored six for Quakers and two for Hartlepool this season, explained: "I think I'll be OK for Saturday. I slid in for a tackle and Spike just caught me - I think he did it on purpose!
"It's a sweet feeling to score against your old team, but I'm playing for Darlington now and I didn't just score to get at them.
"It's Darlington that employ me now and that's who I want to do my best for."
Pool left-back Mark Robinson has admitted Clark was the last player he'd have wanted to score for Darlington on Tuesday.
Clark gave Darlington the lead after 37 minutes, and Robinson admitted: "I could not believe he had scored. When I saw him I just thought 'anyone but you'.
"I was dreading him scoring and I reckon he came off just to try to get a reception from the crowd, there was nothing wrong with him and I didn't like the dodgy haircut either!"
* Sheffield Wednesday defender Ian Hendon has been ruled out of action for the rest of the season through injury. Hendon last played for Terry Yorath's side at the end of October and has been troubled by a shin problem.
