A CANCER charity is urging people in Chester-le-Street to back its spring campaign.
Marie Curie Cancer Care, which has 70 specialist nurses across County Durham, will run its Daffodil Campaign next month.
The charity's community fundraising manager, Carol Oliver, said: "Can you spare a couple of hours of your time helping us to sell fabric daffodils in Chester-le-Street on Friday, March 1?
"If you are part of a voluntary group you could help by concentrating your fundraising around the month of March for Marie Curie."
Ms Oliver also said the charity was able to help with posters, flyers or tickets for anyone organising events to raise funds for the charity.
For further details call Mrs Oliver, on 0191-382 3311 or (07798) 638141.
l More than £146 was raised for Marie Curie Cancer Care's local nursing services with the New You, New Year makeover evening, in Chester-le-Street. The charity thanks everyone who attended at Saks Hair Beauty Salon and Image On, who gave the demonstrations.
