A TELESALES worker claimed her colleagues poisoned her with correction fluid as managers carried out a hate campaign.
Barbara Yusuf-Porter told an industrial tribunal in Newcastle that her working life was made a misery by office bullies.
The 49-year-old suffered a catalogue of verbal abuse from colleagues, jealous of her professional reputation, the hearing was told.
She claimed the abuse culminated in an attempt to poison her by lacing her bottled water with correction fluid.
Mrs Yusuf-Porter, of South Shields, South Tyneside, told the tribunal the attack was part of a catalogue of racially motivated abuse at Budget Windows, in Byker, Newcastle, where she spent two years selling double glazing.
After the correction fluid incident, Mrs Yusuf-Porter went to the police - a move she claims led to her dismissal.
Budget Windows and its parent firm, Doubleblaze Limited, of Stockton, deny the allegations.
The tribunal bench retired to consider its verdict, which is expected in the next few weeks.
Graham Jenney, for Budget Windows, said the firm had no comment to make.
