Killingworth Arms are once again top of the Premier, they won 2-1 away to Penshaw. Paul Hodgson shot Killingworth into the lead only for Forster to level. The restart saw Killingworth having the edge and Hodgson scored his second to give Killingworth victory.
Billingham Wanderers are now in second place, they lost 5-1 away to third placed Steels SC. Steels led 2-0 at the break courtesy of Stronach and Cork. The restart saw further goals from Stronach and Cork put Steels 4-0 up before Powell reduced the arrears only for Cork to score his hat-trick and make it 5-1.
Marden moved off the bottom defeating Northumbria Police 1-0 at home. The vital goal came five minutes from time through Chris Gooding.
Ferryhill won 4-3 away to Blackhall in a tight game, Ferryhill took the lead early when Willie Taylored scored and not long after went 2-0. Paul John scored a fierce shot just inside the box. Blackhall scored just on half time and the restart saw Colin Chapman head home a centre to give Hill a 3-1 lead. Blackhall came back and scored to make it 2-3. A goal by Matty Pearson made it 4-2 but Blackhall still came back attacking and made it 3-4 converting a penalty. Star players for the Hill were Taylor, Pearson and Ian McQuade.
In the Kenny Ball Cup second round Langley Park Rams Head won 1-0 against Wynyard Vets. Newton Aycliffe turned in a fine performance to win 6-3 at home against division one promotion hopefuls Sunderland Catholic Club. Geoff Peaden gave Aycliffe the lead after ten minutes with fine solo efforts only for Catholic Club to draw level when Gary Chambers scored direct with a corner kick. Tony Jenks cleverly beat the offside trap to score and put Aycliffe into a 2-1 interval lead.
The restart saw Colin Smith score direct from a free kick just outside the box to make it 3-1 to Aycliffe Catholic stormed back and man of the match sub John Pearson scored 2-3. Aycliffe brought on sub Joe Coles who scored with the first touch to make it 4-2 and then Aycliffe scored again to make it 5-2 courtesy of Craddock. Tommy Wright then made it 3-5 and a penalty for Coles who was upended was put away by Smith to settle the issue.
Glaxo won 1-0 at home to Hartlepool Tocuhdown Hotel, Derek Minikin gave Castle a 1-0 interval lead despite Heavy Touchdown pressure.
Cleveland Bridge destroyed Billingham Town winning 9-1 away. John Bee scored six, Paul Maitland a brace and Mike Nelson one.
West Cornforth were superb winning 2-1 at home against division four champions Wingate. Trailing 0-1 at the interval they came good after the restart. David Kendall levelled and Tony Rowe scored the winner. Bottom of the fourth division side Trimdon Vets provided the shock result by defeating division three sides Board Inn 2-1 at home. Trimdon attack from the start and went 1-0 up when John Everton slotted home a penalty and then went 2-0 courtesy of Tommy Smith. The restart saw the Board Inn pull one back but Trimdon's defence held firm and keeper Doug Harris was rock solid.
