Darlington Albion
Albion Under-13s entertained Spraire Lads at home. As to be expected of a derby, the competition was very fierce between both teams, resulting in the most electrifying match of the season for the home side. Spirits were high for Albion as Jordan Burdess picked up a through ball in the penalty area, to send it past the Spraire keeper for his first goal. Spraire retaliated with some good wide football, and with defensive errors occuring in the Albion team, Spraire justly deserved to be 2-1 in front at half time. After the re-start Albion came out and pressured Spraire into conceding another three goals, Burdess getting his hat-trick and Sam Richardson one. Nail biting to the final whistle, Spraire got another one, making it 4-3 to the Albion. Man of the match was deservedly Michael Martin for his role in Albion's midfield.
The Under-12s played away to Bedale in their first match for three weeks. Albion controlled the first half of the game playing some good football, but poor finishing would eventually cost them dearly, going in at half time 1-0 up after forcing an own goal from a corner kick. In the second half Albion again wasted several chances while Bedale finished with two good goals, final score 2-1 to Bedale. Man of the match was Thomas Neill.
